Krimsyn Jones has big plans for the future, and her relationships at the University of North Alabama (UNA) have helped pave the way. The relationship she has with her own sister inspired her to form similar bonds at the University of North Alabama—joining Greek life made it easy to do just that.
“Greek life is able to exemplify friendship and meaningful relationships,” Krimsyn shares. “You are able to connect with people that you normally wouldn’t have, and you’re able to see that in kind of a small scale with being at UNA, and then you’re able to see it play out on a larger scale throughout being involved in your community.” For example, Krimsyn has taken opportunities to volunteer at soup kitchens and participate in community service.
These meaningful connections and opportunities are exactly what Krimsyn wanted out of her college experience. Plus, surrounding herself with other successful women has given her all the inspiration needed to pursue her own goals. In fact, she discovered this inspiration both on and off campus.
That’s because Greek life gave her the opportunity to travel all around the state of Alabama. In doing so, she met other women within her organization who are just as passionate about pursuing their own personal and professional goals. Now, Krimsyn truly realizes just how bright her future can be in the field of law.
“To see women that are so impactful, and so meaningful to me, do things that I want to do is just so encouraging,” Krimsyn says. “I feel like the encouragement and the excitement of who I could be one day is one of the most rewarding things of being a part of a Greek organization.”
Krimsyn graduated from UNA with a degree in professional management in Fall 2025, but her academic journey isn’t quite over. Next, she plans to earn a master’s degree in legal studies at Texas A&M. The journey she began at UNA is sure to carry her forward in her next chapter… and beyond.
“I want to work in law because I believe that some people do not have the voice that they need to stand up for themselves, so I would like to be that voice for them. My time at UNA, and in my sorority, has prepared me for that,” Krimsyn explains. “It has allowed me to share my story and know that every voice matters.”
